Fiona Stanley Hospital i Perth, v\u00e4stra Australien har nyligen f\u00f6rv\u00e4rvat en XPS fr\u00e5n XVIVO Perfusion AB (publ). Detta f\u00f6rv\u00e4rv g\u00f6r att tre av de fyra klinikerna som deltar i det australienska hj\u00e4rt- och lungtransplantationsprogrammet har tillg\u00e5ng till en XPS f\u00f6r att utf\u00f6ra EVLP (Ex Vivo Lung Perfusion). XPS:en till Fiona Stanley Hospital donerades v\u00e4nligen av Conquer Cystic Fibrosis Inc och Spinnaker Health Research Foundation.<\/strong><\/div>\n

XVIVO Perfusion har s\u00e5lt en XPS till Fiona Stanley Hospital i Perth, v\u00e4stra Australien. Tillsammans med Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane och The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, inneb\u00e4r detta att tre av de fyra klinikerna som ing\u00e5r i det australiska hj\u00e4rt- och lungtransplantationsprogrammet har tillg\u00e5ng till en XPS. Detta m\u00f6jligg\u00f6r att Fiona Stanley Hospital kan utv\u00e4rdera fler lungor med hj\u00e4lp av EVLP med XPS Systemet och STEEN Solution.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lungtransplantation i Australien \u00e4r internationellt erk\u00e4nt och uppvisar mycket bra metoder f\u00f6r organdonation, organanv\u00e4ndning och transplantation. Antalet transplantationer har \u00f6kat kraftigt i Australien under det senaste decenniet och de fyra klinikerna utf\u00f6r nu mer \u00e4n 200 lungtransplantationer \u00e5rligen. Detta beror fr\u00e4mst p\u00e5 innovationer inom donation, anv\u00e4ndning av DCD-donatorer (donation efter cirkulationsd\u00f6d), anv\u00e4ndningen av EVLP och \u00f6kad organanv\u00e4ndning.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201dAtt ha XPS p\u00e5 sjukhuset hj\u00e4lper oss att utv\u00e4rdera lungor, minska v\u00e4ntelistan och hj\u00e4lpa fler patienter som \u00e4r i behov av lungtransplantation. P\u00e5 v\u00e5r klinik har vi m\u00e5nga \u00e5rs erfarenhet av lungtransplantation och vi presenterade XPS Systemet vid v\u00e5rt 25-\u00e5rsjubileum av lungtransplantation under f\u00f6rra helgen, s\u00e4ger Dr Rob Larbalestier AO, transplantationskirurg och chef f\u00f6r hj\u00e4rtkirurgi vid Fiona Stanley Hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n

F\u00f6r att st\u00f6dja b\u00e5de det \u00f6kande intresset f\u00f6r EVLP med XPS och STEEN Solution fr\u00e5n alla lungtransplantationskliniker har f\u00f6retaget anst\u00e4llt en regional aff\u00e4rs- och teknisk chef f\u00f6r Oceanien (Australien och Nya Zeeland). Fysisk n\u00e4rvaro i regionen m\u00f6jligg\u00f6r n\u00e4rmare kontakt med klinikerna och snabbt st\u00f6d om det beh\u00f6vs. <\/span><\/p>\n
