H\u00f4pital FOCH in Paris is the first clinic in France that has decided to use XPS\u2122. Delivery and installation of XPS\u2122 is estimated to take place at the end of March 2016.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/p>\n

The clinic in Paris has more than 25 years\u2019 experience of lung transplantation and is one of the leading lung transplant clinics in France, with a well-reputed Ex Vivo Lung Perfusion (EVLP) program. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Under the leadership of Professor Alain Chapelier, the clinic in Paris has carried out EVLP using the so-called manual STEEN Solution\u2122 method. \u201cWe will now be able to continue to explore EVLP using XPS\u2122 and STEEN Solution\u2122,\u201d says Dr Edouard Sage, who is in charge of the clinical EVLP program. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

XPS\u2122 is the only CE-marked and FDA approved integrated system on the market today which gives the user the flexibility to perform evaluation of lungs before transplantation through a standardized and simplified procedure. Use of XPS\u2122 has shown good clinical results at 18 clinics in the US, many of which are national leaders in their field. Six XPS\u2122 contracts have now been signed by European clinics, giving them access to the XPS\u2122 system for lung transplantation, and the company notes continuing high interest for the XPS\u2122 in Europe. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are delighted that the FOCH clinic in Paris, which has great experience of transplanting lungs after performing EVLP with STEEN Solution\u2122 with good clinical results, is now moving on to a more standardized and simplified EVLP using the XPS\u2122 system,\u201d says Magnus Nilsson, CEO of XVIVO Perfusion.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
