About The Position

XVIVO is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the development and operations of FlowHawk, a web-based platform with iOS and Android applications. This role is ideal for a developer with 1+ years of experience in DevOps execution and programming, who can take ownership of deployment pipelines while collaborating with senior engineers and growing into being a key contributor to various levels of full-stack development. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Drive DevOps initiatives: automate build, test, and deployment pipelines (CI/CD), and support infrastructure as code 
  • Develop and maintain React applications for web, iOS, and Android 
  • Implement backend logic and optimize PostgreSQL queries 
  • Contribute to code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality code 
  • Work with product and design teams to refine UI/UX and user workflows 
  • Assist in optimizing performance, security, and scalability 
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and backlog grooming 
  • Contribute to dataflow and app development on Domo 
  • Collaborate with senior developers and external development teams 

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience 

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes 
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, cloud environments, and infrastructure automation 
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases 
  • Experience with backend development 
  • Ability to create, test, and execute scripts for DevOps automation 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience programming in ReactJS, NodeJS, and TypeScript 
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and API integrations 
  • Experience with Jenkins, AWS, and/or Terraform 
  • Understanding of state management (Redux, Context API, or similar) 
  • Experience with unit testing and test automation 
  • Experience working in Agile development teams 
  • Exposure to infrastructure as code and containerization (Docker) 
  • Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g. ELK stack, Sentry, Kibana) 
  • Proficiency with Git and version control workflows 

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $95,000 - $135,000
